“‘THANK YOU’ is the best prayer anyone can say”- Alice Walker

Chenoa Manor wishes to express gratitude & thanks to:

Harvest Market Natural Foods in Hockessin, Delaware. They purchased and are selling all of the nettle pesto Chenoa Manor made in 2014. Look for more to come this year when our nettles begin sprouting.

WHAT WE’RE BUZZING ABOUT

The year 2015! This year Chenoa Manor’s calendar of events is already quite full. In addition to our monthly tours & volunteer days we have some amazing events planned, including another Mudder, a regatta, and outdoor movie nights. In addition, we have got some great seasonal workshops in the making involving horticulture, sustainability, and animals. As if that weren’t enough, we also have some very special, exclusive on-site dinners planned. Check our web site regularly for events as details emerge & are shared!

IF I COULD TALK TO THE ANIMALS

In Buenos Aires, a 28-year-old orangutan, named Sandra, has been recognized as having basic legal rights. The Argentinian courts have recognized Sandra as a non-human person who has been deprived of her freedom, by her continued captivity in a South American zoo. Sandra’s advocates say that she has been forced into a life of incarceration after her birth in a German zoo and subsequent transferral to a South American zoo. It is hoped that Sandra will now be transferred to a sanctuary to live her life more naturally.
